Jared Leto may get his own Joker movie!

With “Suicide Squad” getting very positive word-of-mouth, with early screenings testing through the roof, Warner Bros seem to want to keep the trendy trending. While they do have a couple of “Justice League” movies in the works, as well as solo movie adventures for Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman all coming up, evidence suggests that “Suicide Squad” might be the prized ‘baby’ of the studio right now – as such, it’s the one they’re investing a lot of attention and care into.

A few days back word hit that the studio has already got plans to spin-off Margot Robbie’s character Harley Quinn (apparently the scene stealer of “Suicide Squad”) into her own movie, now comes word that Jared Leto’s been approached to reprise his Joker for a starring vehicle.

According to We Got This Covered, the Oscar winning actor is quite keen to headline his own film as the Clown Prince of Crime.

The Joker is a definite possibility for a spinoff, and Jared [Leto] seems up for it from what I’ve been told.

The site mentions that there’s talk of some of the other “Suicide Squad” members getting their own films too – including the film’s other Australian cast member.

They’re also really hot on Jai Courtney’s character Boomerang right now.

Considering it doesn’t look like there’ll be a “Terminator : Genisys” sequel, Courtney’s going to be looking for a secure paycheck – no doubt the “Suicide Squad” spin-off talks is music to his ears.

Still, take all this with a grain of salt until the deals are done and, for that matter, we see if “Suicide Squad” performs as strong as projections suggest it may.

“Suicide Squad” hits August 5.
