Russo’s bringing The Warriors to TV!

“Captain America : Civil War” filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo are adapting cult-classic film ”The Warriors” into a one-hour drama with Paramount TV and Hulu.

According to Deadline, the new take will honor the original Walter Hill directed movie while “adding its own unique brand of grit, pulp, sex and violence.”

Frank Baldwin will team with the Russo brothers on the project, with the latter twosome helming the pilot.

“The Warriors” tells of a turf battle between New York City street gangs that rages from Coney Island to the Bronx. The Warriors are mistakenly fingered for the killing of a gang leader. Soon they have every gang in the city out to get revenge and they must make their way across the city to their own turf. The original film starred Michael Beck, James Remar, Dorsey Wright and David Patrick Kelly.
