Casting: Brosnan, Winfrey, Chastain, Blade Runner 2, Sandy Wexler

Pierce Brosnan has become attached to star in Scott Mann’s “Final Score”.

Dave Bautista, Alexandra Dinu and Julian Cheung co-star in the film from screenwriting brothers Lynch and Jonathan Frank.

“Final Score” takes place at a major sporting event, during which the stadium is seized by a group of heavily armed criminals demanding ransom. An ex-soldier must use all his military skills to save the 35,000 capacity crowd, one of which is the daughter of his fallen comrade.

 

 

Oprah Winfrey is in final negotiations to join Disney’s adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s “A Wrinkle in Time”.

Winfrey’s “Selma” director Ava Duvernay is on board to helm the film from Jennifer Lee’s script about children who travel through time and visit strange worlds in order to find their missing scientist father.

According to Variety, “Winfrey will play Mrs. Which, one of the three Mrs. Ws that helps guide the children along their journey.”

 

 

Jessica Chastain is in negotiations to join Jake Gyllenhaal in Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ “The Division”.

An adaptation the Ubisoft hit video game, “The Division” is set in “dystopian New York City after a smallpox pandemic. In the third-person shooter game, the player is an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division, aka The Division, and is searching for the origins of the outbreak” (via THR).

 

 

Lennie James (“The Walking Dead”) will join Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass and Dave Bautista in the cast of Alcon’s “Blade Runner” sequel.

Denis Villeneuve is directing the film which is set several decades after the 1982 original.

The movie is set to be released on October 6, 2017.

 

 

Kevin James, Terry Crews, Rob Schneider, Colin Quinn, Nick Swardson, Lamorne Morris and Arsenio Hall have been cast in Adam Sandler’s “Sandy Wexler”.

In the film, Sandler will play “an L.A.-based talent manager who represents a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single-minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his new client, a talented singer named Courtney Clarke, whom he discovers at an amusement park” (via THR).

Steven Brill is directing the film with Jennifer Hudson starring as Courtney Clarke. Paul Sado, Dan Bulla and Sandler penned the script.
