It’s yet to be officially ordered to pilot however CBS’ “Big Bang Theory” prequel spinoff seems to be moving forward at a rapid pace anyway.
Today news comes that young up-and-comer Iain Armitage is being eyed for the lead role of Sheldon Cooper as a child. Meanwhile, Zoe Perry is said to be in talks to play Sheldon’s mum, Mary Cooper. (Fun Fact: Zoe Perry is the real-life daughter of Laurie Metcalf, who play’s Sheldon’s mum on “The Big Bang Theory”.)
Variety also reports that Warner Bros and CBS have a front runner to play Sheldon’s father, but no word yet on who that might be.
While “Sheldon” hasn’t officially been ordered to pilot yet, the spinoff is looking toward a 13-episode order for its first season.
