Jerry Seinfeld returning to TV in Netflix special

Master of observational humour Jerry Seinfeld is bringing a one-hour long special to Netflix titled “Jerry Before Seinfeld”. It’s all part of a deal Seinfeld made with the streaming service back in January, which also included moving his show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” from Crackle over to Netflix. There will also be another stand-up Seinfeld special to come, along with scripted and nonscripted comedy programming currently in development for the network.

Deadline reports that “Jerry Before Seinfeld” will chronicle Seinfeld’s return to the Comic Strip in New York City that launched his career. The show will be streamed from September 19, and will include never-before-seen material, including a library of legal pads with every joke Seinfeld has written since 1975, childhood videos and other jokes and features. Fans of 90s sitcom “Seinfeld” will be familiar with some of the material.

Netflix teased some of the show on their Instagram channel, including the clips below.
