TV : Edge of Seventeen, Halo, Elseworlds

Isabelle Fuhrman (“The Hunger Games”) will play the role Hailee Steinfeld played in a spin-off of “Edge of Seventeen” (2016).

The pilot, hailing from YouTube, revolves around Mira, a high school student, and her best friend, Lou (short for Louise), as they navigate the relationships, feelings and realities of being teenage girls. Lina Liberato will play Lou.

Annabel Oakes (“Atypical”) will pen the script for the pilot, with Kelly Fremon Craig, who wrote, directed and produced the feature, attached to executive produce the new iteration. [More…]

A hiccup for Showtime’s “Halo” series with Rupert Wyatt (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) announcing he’s off the project.

“It’s with great disappointment that changes to the production schedule of Halo prevent me from continuing in my role as a director on the series,” Wyatt said in a statement. “My time on Halo has been a creatively rich and rewarding experience with a phenomenal team of people. I now join the legion of fans out there, excited to see the finished series and wishing everyone involved the very best.”

A new poster for next week’s Arrowverse crossover, “Elseworlds” has been released. In addition, a teaser for the series premiered at the tail-end of last night’s episode of “Supergirl” – and it featured, among others, the incarnation of Green Arrow from ‘Smallville’.
