With “Mission : Impossible- Fallout” unarguably the most successful of the long-running series, no surprise to hear that Paramount Pictures has retained the services of director Christopher McQuarrie. But get this – the studio have recruited McQuarrie for not just one more sequel, but two!
“Mission : Impossible 7” and “Mission : Impossible 8” will be McQuarrie’s third and fourth film in the popular action series, reports Variety.
McQuarrie, who has been working with star Tom Cruise on the “Top Gun” sequel, opening in 2010, will also write the next two instalments.
“MI:7” is scheduled for Summer 2021 and “MI:8” is due a year later, Summer 2022.
