It seems the rumours are true : “Fighting with My Family” breakout star Florence Pugh is reportedly joining Scarlett Johansson’s standalone superhero “Black Widow” film. The news comes via Variety, with no comment from Marvel as yet.
Cate Shortland is on board to direct, with Jac Schaeffer writing the script and Kevin Feige producing. More details around the film are yet unknown, so we don’t know if it’ll be an origin flick or set after “Avengers” – or other.
Other than playing WWE wrestler Paige in the recent “Fighting with My Family”, Pugh starred in Netflix’s “Outlaw King” and is set to headline in Ari Aster’s “Midsommar”.
