It’s stash or trash time for TV right now, with many of our favorite and feared small-screen offerings either getting their marching orders or new-episode commission orders.
Here’s some of those lucky enough to escape the axe at ABC :
Blindspot : NBC has commissioned a fifth but final season of the Sullivan Stapleton-starring drama. The series was on the bubble, so another season will come as a welcome surprise to many.
Bless this Mess : The Dax Shepard-Lake Bell comedy, which has been doing well for ABC, has snagged a second season.
The Rookie : ABC has ordered a second season of “The Rookie”, the reasonably-successful police drama starring Nathan Fillion.
Fresh Off The Boat : The popular Constance Wu-starrer has been renewed for a sixth season.
Man with a Plan : Matt LeBlanc sitcom “Man with a Plan” is faring significantly better than his “Joey” did all those years ago, with ABC greenlighting a fourth season.
How to Get Away with Murder : The Viola Davis-starrer, along with “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Station 19”, has been renewed by ABC. This will be the show’s 6th year.
Grey’s Anatomy : The ABC medical drama has been renewed for a record-breaking 16th and 17th season.
Ellen Pompeo is set to return, as is most of the original cast, for the next two seasons.
