Wan’s next gets a title, Babysitter 2 announces cast

James Wan has revealed the title of his return to horror.

On Instagram, the “Aquaman” director revealed that “Malignant” has kicked off its shoot

“First day of principal photography on the 10th feature film of my career,” Wan says in the pic’s caption. He adds, “Really excited for this one.”

Though the plot is being kept under wraps, the film’s been described as a “Giallo horror movie” – one that Wan produces and co-wrote with his fiancé Ingrid Bisu.

Starring in “Malignant” are Maddie Hasson, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Abel, George Young, Michole Briana White, and Australia’s Jacqueline McKenzie.

Meantime, Netflix is pushing forward with a sequel to 2017 horror flick “The Babysitter”.  Judah Lewis is back as the hero Cole, with Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Hana Mae Lee, and Andrew Bachelor also returning for the new film.

The story of the film, says THR, revolves around Cole (Lewis), defeated a satanic cult led by his babysitter. He’s trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school, but when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.
Dan Lagana wrote the script while McG, Mary Viola, and Zack Schiller are producing. Filming begins October 14 on the sequel.
