A proposed “Tron” TV series, being developed for Disney+, has been canned.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Ridley (“12 Years A Slave”) was working on the project before it was skirted from the line-up.
Disney has about 50 scripted shows and 50 unscripted programs in the works for the streamer, according to the trade, so needless to say there’s going to be that won’t make it.
A third “Tron” film was inching towards the starting line a few years ago but, like the TV project, was abandoned.
Poor Flynn just can’t catch a break.
