Rising star Jonathan Majors (“The Last Black Man in San Francisco”, “Lovecraft Country”) has joined the cast of MGM’s third “Creed” film, says Variety.

The boxing threequel, directed by and starring Michael B.Jordan, will see Adonis Creed (Jordan) sharing a roped-off arena with a new rival, played by Majors.

Keenan Coogler (“Space Jam: A New Legacy”) and Zach Baylin (“King Richard”) penned the script based on a story outline from original co-writer/director Ryan Coogler.

Majors will soon lens “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” for Marvel.

“Creed III” is currently targeting a November 23rd 2022 release.
