Remakes of Anaconda and Amityville Horror said to be in the case

Directors said to be attached to the two, too!

Reboots are still as trendy as lip-syncing on TikTok, it would seem.

Two new rumours have surfaced suggesting remakes of horror flicks The Amityville Horror (yep, another version!) and Anaconda (a big-screen relaunch, as opposed to the direct-to-video sequels to the original Anaconda we’ve had in recent years) are in the works at MGM and Sony, respectively.

Internet scooper Daniel RPK says Lee Cronin, director of buzz horror title Evil Dead Rise, is circling the new version of Amityville and Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) is directing the Anaconda reboot.

It’s fairly likely that the former will be a complete remake fixing again on the true crimes of Ronald DeFeo Jr. On November 13, 1974, while there’s no word on whether the new Anaconda will share any connection with the Jennifer Lopez flick from the ’90s.

I.P’s are where it’s at.
