Hey Boo Boo, It’s a Sequel!

In January, What’s Playing reported that Warners were looking to hire writers for a “Yogi Bear” sequel. The original film, they reported, had made more than a few picnic baskets full of gold ingots at the box office and as such, a sequel was commissioned pretty much post first weekend out.

Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia, the writers of Fox’s “Rio”, have snagged the job of writing Yogi and Boo-Boo’s next adventure, says Variety.

No word on returning cast members (Anna Faris, Tom Cavanagh and the voices of Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake featured in the first flick) or plot points but we wait with anticipation. And glee.
