3. Zach Braff has sold a single camera comedy series called “Bar Staff” to ABC. At this stage, the “Scrubs” star will only be writing and directing the show.

Jose Maria Yazpik And Shannyn Sossamon will star in the indy “The Jesuit”, for director Paul Schrader. ”Yazpik, who starred in Diego Luna’s Abel and just wrapped Pedro Almodovar’s Brief Lovers, plays a man nicknamed The Jesuit who has been imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. When his wife is killed and his son kidnapped and taken to Mexico, he devises a dangerous plan to rescue his son and avenge his wife’s death. Shannyn Sossamon will play the woman The Jesuit hires to masquerade as his wife on the quest.”

8. “Wanted” screenwriter Derek Haas says Angelina Jolie won’t be – as originally expected – back for the sequel. “The only thing I can tell you is that Wesley [James McAvoy] is now, four years later, recruiting a young woman who is in his situation in the first movie. She’s got a sh**ty life. He’s sort of in the Fox role. This new girl is brought into the world”, the scribe reveals to Hollywood.com.

Wes Bentley, Logan Huffman, Michael Trevino, Connor Paolo and Francesca Eastwood are joining Abigail Breslin and Alexander Ludwig in “Final Girl”, a slasher film from Tyler Shields. ”In the film, Loner Veronica is new to school, shy and vulnerable, the perfect target for a group of teenage boys who lure girls into the woods to hunt and kill them for sport. It’s only after they get her alone that she turns the tables on them, escaping and revealing she’s armed and knows how to defend herself. Little do they know, Veronica is an assassin-in-training, and she’s chosen killing these boys as her final test. When the dust clears, Veronica will find out if she can be the final girl these boys ever have a chance to hurt.”
