Maher, Oleynik, Gauthier and more join rom-com BFFs

Sean Maher (“Serenity”, “Much Ado About Nothing”), Larisa Oleynik (“Mad Men”) and Dan Gauthier (“Melrose Place”), among others, have joined Australia’s Sigrid Thornton in the new Malibu-lensed comedy “BFFs”, production company Sneaky Pete Productions announced today.

The film, directed by Andrew Putschoegl and written by & starring real-life best friends Andrea Grano and Tara Karsian, tells of “two best friends who take advantage of the luxuries of a couples’ retreat by pretending to be lovers. However, the “Closer to Closeness” weekend blurs the line between their reality and fiction and they find themselves questioning where the line is drawn between “lover” and “BFF.””

In addition to Grano, Karsian, Thornton, Maher, Oleynik and Gauthier, the cast also includes Pat Carroll, Eric Lively, Patrick O’Connor, Jenny O’Hara, Molly Hagan (“Herman’s Head” – what a legendary show!), Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Russell Sams and “Night Court” funnyman Richard Moll.
