Marks to Disney for Jungle Book reboot

Justin Marks is on the job to bringing “The Jungle Book” back to cinema screens.

The “Street-Fighter : Legend of Chun-Li” scribe is working on a new version of the classic tale for Disney, says THR.

Because Rudyard Kipling’s stories are in the public domain, anyone’s free to toy with them – as such Warner Bros are also working on a version of ‘Jungle Book’.

Marks, who penned an early draft of David Fincher’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” for the studio, is the first big hire for the film. A director is still being sought.

Here’s the trailer for the last live-action version of “The Jungle Book”, a 1994 adventure starring Jason Scott Lee as Mowgli.

Casting : Ritter, Gagnon, Turner, Oyelowo, Heughan
