Ken Jeong drops into Ride Along franchise

Ken Jeong, best known for his ha-ha part on “Community” and in the “Hangover” trilogy, has joined the cast of “Ride Along 2”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the funnyman is playing a role not unlike Joe Pesci’s in the “Lethal Weapon” movies; his computer hacker character (and no doubt, pain-in-the-ass) will reportedly team up with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart’s characters to assist in solving the film’s central crime.

Olivia Munn is also in talks, while Benjamin Bratt is a lock to play a villain.

“Ride Along 2” scoots into theaters January 15, 2016.
