Rapper-turned-actor Common (“Selma”) has landed a role in Warner Bros’ DC Entertainment super-villains flick “Suicide Squad”.
David Ayer is directing the film about imprisoned villains recruited by a government agency to perform covert operations.
Common joins co-stars Jared Leto (the Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola David, Adam Beach, Ike Barinholtz, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Scott Eastwood.
Also rumoured to make brief appearances are “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” stars Ben Affleck (Batman) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).
Details of Common’s character remain under wraps.
