Jeff Daniels is in final negotiations for a key role in Lionsgate’s “Divergent” franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniels would play the leader of the Bureau of Genetic Welfare in “Allegiant Part 1” and “Allegiant Part 2″.
The franchise is based on Veronica Roth dystopian YA trilogy. Producers are Doug Wick, Lucy Fisher and Pouya Shahbazian.
“Allegiant Part 1” will go into production in May.
