Even with solid sources suggesting he’s already snagged the role, seems there’s a reason Sony are yet to confirm Asa Butterfield as cinema’s next Spider-Man.
According to Devin from Birth.Movies.Death – formerly known as Bad Ass Digest – the “Ender’s Game” actor has fierce competition in the form of one Tom Holland. Holland, not to be confused with the middle-aged filmmaker who brought us “Fright Night” and “Child’s Play” (though he might make an interesting Spidey..), might even be a neck-and-neck favourite for the role of the sticky-fingered superhero.
The final two contenders for Spider-Man are Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland, I am hearing. It was down to 2 last week.
