RoboCop series in the works

Machinima, the YouTube channel focused on fandom and gaming culture, is reactivating “RoboCop”.

The character, who first graced the screen in a 1987 film from director Paul Verhoeven, was the subject of a bigscreen reboot last year.

Announced at the Machinima NewFront event in the Big Apple, the latest incanration of the science-fiction classic, a collaboration with MGM, will be a limited-run web series shot in a first-person view. The audience will watch the action unfold infront of them as they join standard-issue RoboCop officers on their dispatch calls.

The “RoboCop” series is just one of several new and upcoming productions from Machinima, with some of the others including “ustice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles” and “Clive Barker’s Creepy Pasta”.
