Fox are giving “X-Files” fans a bit of an early Christmas present by letting a few select locales preview the first episode of the 2016 revival early.
In October, Mipcom – in Cannes – will show episode one of the new season. Four days later, the episode will screen for attendees at New York Comic-Con. There’ll be a Q&A with writer-director Chris Carter after the NYCC screening.
The rest of us, sadly, have to wait until January 24 to see the episode.
The new 6-episode redux, again starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, begins with the episode “My Struggle” which pits Mulder and Scully against a conspiracy involving – of course – an alien abductee. In addition to franchise newcomers Joel McHale, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Annet Mahendru, Rhys Darby and Kumail Nanjiani, original supporting players Annabeth Gish, William B.Davis, Mitch Pileggi and ‘The Lone Gunmen’ return.
