Director George Miller has revealed that Charlize Theron’s “Mad Max Fury Road” character Furiosa may not appear in the recently announced fifth and sixth “Mad Max” installments.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Miller said the character is present only briefly in the scripts.
“I’m not sure, is the answer,” Miller said when asked about Theron’s potential return. “She’s not in the Mad Max [sequel] story, but in one of the stories there’s an interaction between [Max and Furiosa]. I can’t really say more than that because it’s still in progress.”
Miller also commented on the sequel film’s expected title: “Mad Max: The Wasteland”.
“That name came out, that was just a working title,” he said. “Nico Lathouris and I wrote deep backstories on all the characters and they eventually became screenplays – so we have two [more movies].
