A live-action “Little Mermaid” adaptation is moving forward at Disney.
Lin-Manuel Miranda and songwriter Alan Menken have been hired to write the songs for the feature adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s story.
The film will be a mix of pre-existing songs from the 1989 Disney animated classic, reports Deadline.
Marc Platt will produce the film along with Miranda.
