Tessa Thompson’s Thor 3 role revealed!

Tessa Thompson

A couple of days ago it was announced that “Creed” actress Tessa Thompson would be the female lead – stepping in for Natalie Portman, who isn’t returning this time around – of the next “Thor” film.

Latino Review have stout word that the actress will be playing ‘Valkyrie’ in “Thor:Agnarok”. If true, the one-time “Veronica Mars” star gets to play a character that can possibly jump in and out of other upcoming Marvel movies.

Our sources are telling us that Tessa Thompson is playing the MCU version of Valkyrie. In the comics, this character’s real name is Brunnhilde, and she is chosen by Odin to lead the Valkyrior, the Asgardians who roam battlefields, and select the honorable dead for Valhalla. The title of Valkyrie just applies to whomever leads the Valkyries though, so we may or may not be seeing her before she takes on said title. Either way, this character aligns with the report, and could very well appear again in Avengers: Infinity War.

The November 3, 2017 release stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Cate Blanchett (reportedly as Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death), Tom Hiddelston, back as Loki, and Jaime Alexander, reprising her role as Lady Sif.
