“Sex and the City” alum John Corbett will reprise his role as Aidan Shaw on HBO Max’s sequel series “And Just Like That…”.
According to Deadline, Corbett, fresh from filming a second sequel to indie hit “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, will have a multi-episode arc in the show’s second season, which does not yet have a release date.
A while back, Corbett told Page Six, “I’m going to do the show.” He teased his return as “very exciting”.
Meanwhile, Calista Flockhart has been approached to reprise her role as love-beseeching lawyer Ally McBeal in a new sequel series at ABC.
Says Deadline, “Written and executive produced by Karin Gist (Mike), I hear the new show will follow a young Black woman who joins the law firm from the original series (or its current incarnation) straight out of law school. The young woman is believed to be the daughter of Ally McBeal’s (Flockhart) D.A. roommate Renée Raddick, who was played by Lisa Nicole Carson on the mothership series.”
Flockhart won’t commit until she sees a pilot script, says the trade.
