DC Universe has cancelled Swamp Thing

Less than a week after its premiere, DC Universe has officially pulled the pin on “Swamp Thing”.

Rumors earlier this year suggested the episode order for the James Wan-produced superhero jaunt had been cut, and the production shut down, with Bloody Disgusting now adding putty to those bricks – confirming the streamer has indeed axed the Derek Mears-starrer.

The series, which featured “Twin Peaks” alum Mears as the titular monster, is rumored to have been chopped because of escalating production costs.

The completed episodes of “Swamp Thing” will all air but that’s a rather shoddy consolation to those who’ve lost their jobs here.
