First look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Thomas Edison!

The first photo from “The Current War” has debuted giving us a look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Thomas Edison.

Set in the 1800s, “The Current War” centres on the feud between Thomas Edison (Cumberbatch) and George Westinghouse (Michael Shannon) over the supply of electricity.

Nicholas Hoult, Katherine Waterston, Tom Holland, Matthew Macfadyen and Tuppence Middleton co-star.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”) is directing the film from Michael Mitnick’s 2011 Black List script.
