Hannibal return a possibility, says Mikkelsen

Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter in NBC's "Hannibal"

Despite six years having passed since NBC cancelled the series, “Hannibal” remains as popular –  a lot of its new fans discovering it on streaming platform Netflix.

As a result, there’s some discussion that the series might return.

Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, actor Mads Mikkelsen confirmed that he might still get the chance to reprise the character.

“[Hannibal] has found a new home on Netflix, the talks have been revitalized…I don’t think you’d find a member of the cast that is still alive that would say, ‘No, thanks.’ We all enjoyed it tremendously.”

The actor recalls that after the third season everyone was “pretty sure” they were doing a fourth.

“That was not the feeling after the first or the second. But the third [season], we were pretty sure.”

Let’s see how this pans out; maybe Netflix can bankroll the new season?
