Leonardo DiCaprio & Amy Poehler developing TV series’

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to exec produce an untitled 80’s mafia drama for Showtime.

“Ray Donovan” writer Brett Johnson will write the series and exec produce.

“The Brooklyn-set potential series follows a decade-long relationship between an unstable mafia captain and a rogue federal agent, each violating the strict codes of their respective organizations. The drama examines the power the Wall Street era had on the mafia and the FBI,” reports Variety.

Appian Way’s Jennifer Davisson, Charles Pacheco, Jennifer Erwin, Dan Pearson and Bryan Zuriff will also exec produce.

 

Amy Poehler and “The Mindy Project’s” Charlie Grandy are developing “Dumb Prince”, a new comedy for NBC.

According to THR, “the Universal Television comedy is a half-hour family comedy about a reluctant Crown Prince’s attempt to run the family business his way, thereby throwing his highly publicized and dysfunctional family into chaos”.

Poehler, Grandy and Brooke Posch of Paper Kite Productions will exec produce with Dave Becky of 3 Arts.

Grandy is also attached to write the series.
