Rumor skirting about suggesting the cast of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” may reprise their roles for the MCU.
The catch? (and it’s ludicrous!) They wouldn’t exactly be playing the same versions of the characters they played on TV. In other words, everything that happened to Agent Phil Coulson and co. on the series isn’t considered canon.
There’s some evidence out there to back this up too – Disney+ just quietly removed Marvel’s pre-Disney+ TV shows — including ”Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”. and ”Agent Carter” – from canon by porting them over to the “Marvel Legacy Movies and Series” section of Disney+ – that’s the area reserved for things that don’t take place within the MCU.
Patreon scooper Daniel Richtman floats a rumor that the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” team may pop up in “Captain Marvel” sequel “The Marvels”, due 8 July 2022.
Sounds possible that the crew will turn up in the MCU but rebooting them? that’s farqed.
