This might be the worst thing you see today

OK so disclaimer, my interest in the Royal Family is pretty much at the lowest it can be, apart from the fact that Kate Middleton and I share a birthday. That’s about as interested as I get.

So excuse my complete and utter lack of interest in the following program, which brought a little bit of bile to the back of my throat.

It’s not enough that we have to be subjected to the “perfect” fairytale romance of Prince Harry and his bride-to-be Meghan Markle, but now Lifetime have released a trailer for their upcoming movie on the couple.

It’s titled “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance”, and it looks awful. Check out the teaser below.

So I’m no relationship expert, but I’ve been in a relationship for over 2 years now (yes, someone has put up with me for that long), but I don’t think any partnership is this full of romance and butterflies and doves and happiness and perfectness. It’s not realistic, especially when you’re a part of the most important family in the Commonwealth and have the media (and the rest of the world) watching your every move.

Plus, I had no desire to ever imagine what it was like when Prince Harry had sex, but now I have that image in my brain thanks to the above trailer. Thanks A LOT Lifetime.

Also, the human side of me actually does give a shit about people’s feelings, and these two haven’t even made it to the altar yet and they’ve already got this doco about them, with two strangers playing them. Weird.

The movie chronicles the courtship and love story between a beloved prince and his new fiancée and will examine the history of Prince Harry and Markle from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan’s life as a divorced American actress.

Someone please watch it for me and deliver me an all-time sarcastic recap. PRETTY PLEASE.
