The previously-rumoured series adaptation of cult fave “Wet Hot American Summer” is a go.
According to Deadline, Netflix has ordered 8 episodes of the series, which is said to reunite much of the cast – including big names like Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, and Elizabeth Banks – from the original movie.
David Wain and Michael Showalter, who wrote the movie, wrote the new miniseries, with “Role Models” helmer Wain also back to direct.
In addition to Rudd, Cooper, and Banks, other names returning for the series include Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Joe Lo Truglio, Janeane Garafolo, Marguerite Moreau, Michael Ian Black, David Hyde Pierce, H. Jon Benjamin, Judah Friedlander, Nina Hellman, Zak Orth, A.D. Miles, Marisa Ryan, Kevin Sussman, Showalter, and Christopher Meloni.
