Neither Blunt or Krasinski approached for Fantastic Four reboot

Now this is criminal. Where’s their call, Feige!?

Out doing the rounds for “A Quiet Place Part II”, opening this week, actress Emily Blunt tells Howard Stern she hasn’t been approached about playing Sue Storm in Marvel’s upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot. As you’re likely aware, Blunt and hubby John Krasinski are long-time favourites to play the heads of the family in the MCU Phase 4 venture.

Blunt, who famously had to nix the role of Black Widow due to other crappier commitments (see “Gulliver’s Travels”), swears neither she or Krasinski has had any contact with Marvel in recent times.

“No one has received a phone call,” said Blunt.

The actress went on to say she’s not opposed to doing a superhero film.

.“It’s not that it’s beneath me. I love Iron Man, and when I got offered Black Widow I was obsessed with Iron Man. I wanted to work with Robert Downey Jr. It would’ve been amazing.”

The “Wild Mountain Thyme” actress says the idea of doing a comic book film on its own doesn’t necessarily excite her.

“We are inundated – It’s not only all the movies, it’s the endless tv shows as well,” she explained. “It’s not to say that I’d never want to play one, it would just have to be something so cool and like a really cool character, and then I’d be interested.”

“The Fantastic Four” reboot is tipped to open in 2023 or 2024.
