A few days back, rumours surfaced – first at That Hashtag Show, and today, again on Daniel RPK’s Patreon – that The CW are recasting the role of Lex Luthor on ”Superman and Lois : Season 3”.
Jon Cryer, who played the in spin-off “Supergirl”, confirmed as much on Twitterwhen he responded to Henry Cavill’s axing from the Superman role of the big screen.
“Henry Cavill and I are gonna go have a drink”, says the actor, who seemingly would love to reprise the role.
Actor Michael Rosenbaum, who brilliantly portrayed Lex on TV’s “Smallville”, responded to Cryer : “I heard they were casting a new Lex on that show. I don’t get it. They rarely listen to fans. You killed it and you’re a terrific human being. Now go bathe in your millions. You deserve it. Upward and onwards buddy.”
Cryer responded, “When they figure out who the new guy is we’ll have to get him to partake in the Elaborate Top Secret Deeply Humiliating Lex Luthor Hazing Ritual™️.”
Despite being set on different Earths, some actors from “Supergirl” reprised their role for “Superman and Lois” – why not fan-fave Cryer!?
