As previously rumored, Cillian Murphy has departed director Joachim Ronning’s TRON 3 : Ares, with Evan Peters (X-Men : Days of Future Past, “American Horror Story”) now confirmed to be playing the role of Edward Dillinger Jr.
The pic, headlined by Morbius himself Jared Leto, begins shooting in August in Vancouver.
No word on whether TRON staples Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner reprise their roles in the new sequel or whether or not the new film will pick-up the adventures of TRON Legacy‘s leads Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund.
TRON 3 is written by It Runs in the Family scribe Jesse Wugutow.
