Tracy Morgan is in negotiations to play comedian Redd Foxx in director Lee Daniels’ Richard Pryor biopic.
Foxx, who went on to star in TV sitcom “Sanford and Son”, owned a local comedy club and gave Pryor his start by using him as his opening act.
Pryor will be played by Mike Epps and his wife Jennifer will be played by Kate Hudson. Oprah Winfrey is also attached to play Pryor’s Grandmother who raised him while Taraji P. Henson and Eddie Murphy will play his parents.
