Cobra Kai will be back for a 3rd season

Hot off the heels of its second season, YouTube has confirmed the popular “Cobra Kai” has been renewed for a third season. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka both star in the show, which is a continuation of the “Karate Kid” movies.

Season 2 featured the return of John Kreese (Martin Kove), and a new rivalry between two dojos when Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) opens Miyagi-Do, in honor of his mentor Mr. Miyagi.

The show has been a hit for YouTube, with the first episode of season 1 clocking in over 55 million views alone.

“Cobra Kai” is written and executive produced by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who will continue to showrun the series and direct the bulk of the episodes.
